Cake overload!

At group today. Over the past week there have been four birthdays, so as the birthday girls had not worked out a system to drip feed the cakes that they would bring in, we had four lots to work our way through. Don't worry - we managed it!!!

A couple of the ladies had attended a local workshop and had made themselves a table-runner
Jo's bright colors
Bernice's trio of colour
Angie had attended the same place but had completed a different design.
this one is very long!
Barbara was also on table toppers, but hers was made from the Twisted Log Cabin blocks made a group.
And it looks like Carole has joined in the table covering brigade and has almost finished her TLC
Very stricking colour choice!
Val is still working on her blocks

And Pauline ...... well her TLC has not progressed very far - but she has made a lovely job of covering her Cut & Press board.Winking EmoticonWinking EmoticonEmoticon with eyes wide openEmoticon with eyes wide open

Lynda spent the afternoon counting her smocking rows ( with a bit of back sewing too)
very pretty
Bridget has been quilting her star block

And Eileen is looking for her next project.

a favourite book
Angie was hooking a rug for her bedside
Annette has made one of the little lampshades. These top a champagne glass and have a flameless candle popped in the glass.

Mrs Beal was sewing down the binding on one of two Kaffe Fassett quilts that she has made
VERY colourful and beautifully quilted
Janis is stitching an art piece
Nice pair pear
Barbara has also finished her red-work cushion that we saw in progress a few weeks ago
Annette pulled out another couple of completed items. Her Sashiko panel has been added to a boxy zipper pouch
And her Stunning Stitches piece has turned into a very smart I Pad case

Brenda has made her contribution to our autumn Bag-a-Bola stall

Jo has a son that lives in Canada and a Daughter that lives in South Africa ( so she has some lovely holidays!) and "Mothers Day" there falls at a different time to here in the UK, but I thought that you would like to see the card that she had received.
Sooo true!!

Next Monday is our All Day and Janis will be showing us a Hussuff - and if you want to know more - you will have to join us!
