Busy Busy

Monday saw a spike in members attending the group meeting. It could be because it was lashing down, or maybe the holiday season is drawing to a close.

Angie and Jo are still on the sock knitting classes (we do allow other crafts !!) and Angie is storing her project in her Sweet Treat bag

These are great little bags for your projects or a cosmetic/jewellery bags

Jo was using her Japanese Knot Bag which is really hand to carry your knitting or crochet projects on the go.  As you can see, the ball can stay in the bag, and you can carry it on your wrist as you work.
Angie also has on of these handy bags

I have it on (fairly) good authority that there will be some of these on sale at our exhibition..... Next Month!!!!

Sue has taken the opportunity to join in the sock thing. She won a ball of sock wool .... some time ago, and just needed a bit of encouragement to get going.
Knit & Sew Gill came along again with some of her surplus stock and the ladies had a good rummage and made some purchases.
She brought along a great selection of baby wools for just £1 a ball!

Jo made a purchase as some of her Crochet Group ladies are supporting Emily's Star  and are making bonding squares for Mum & Baby

Meanwhile, back in the room....Sue had made her Chicken panel into a fun cushion
Lesley was finishing a purse and Mug rug to add to a Swap item that she has made.
Kim was using some "worn and washed" fabrics to make a small quilt

Chris has been really busy making these two bright and cheery embroidered pouches

AND is working on a felt Christmas wreath

 Keep it up Chris!!

Ena is still in the factory making her Counter Change Smocked coat-hangers. These will also be on sale at the Exhibition.  Did I tell you --- its next month!!
Shirley was beading some Christmas decorations, these are also made from felt.
Barbara is working on her tiny hexagons, some of which have been made into a pincushion.
Glenys has stitched another "prick and stitch" Christmas card.
Ena had finished her Fabric Bowl, and has made a lovely job too. Well done Ena.
Ellen was fringing some woven fabric to make herself some table-mats. (Makes a change for her to be keeping her makes!)
And the panels that she was making last week have been made into a tissue box cover
June had some stunning fox panels that she was making into a cushion
Linda (newly retired) has at last finished her Christmas Challenge piece, that just has to be popped into her frame ready to display at the Exhibtition
And Janis was working on her lovely stitched pears
Mrs Beal has sashed her Dice & Splice blocks and was sewing down her binding with the help of Angela

Alison was adding all sorts of treasures to this piece
 Cake was eaten

A good afternoon all in all!

Don't Forget that we have a Bank Holiday next Monday
so there will no be meeting

Wednesday evenings will start again next week and frantic last minute preparations will be taking place to get everything ready for the Exhibition
