Busy Busy Busy

The Sun was out, and so were most of our members, all ready to sit and sew.  Lots going on today.

Do you remember a few weeks back we were given a challenge to make New York Beauties, its here if you need a reminder.  Lesley had made a start

New York Beauties
and this is Jo's collection

I think there are 10 different designs that complete the challenge.  I do believe we have fallen behind, but  we just need another rainy day like Sunday and we will have them done in no time.

Lesley was finishing off some mug rugs

Angela was getting on with her little patchwork dress

Carol making an anniversary block

Ena making miniature carpets

Goodness what's going on here....testing the blade..... no, Betty is more sensible than that.

Jan's making a log cabin quilt

And Christmas blocks by the score (well, not quite a score, but quite a few)

And finally..... this is Ellen's sewing machine cover.  This was started at our 'Back to Basic' days, and Ellen feels she has learnt a lot by playing along, and I feel congratulations are in order.  Well done Ellen.

  1. Cant believe that there are so many other Christmas projects going on! The NYB blocks are looking really good. Perhaps we should all have a go next year?

  5. It is always amazing to see the variety of wonderful things being made from scraps of fabric and threads.
