At our evening meeting this week, we had three (almost) finished quilts.
|
These look really quirky! Brenda's "Ideal Home" ? |
This one is Brenda's. She started this at her ,
LQS in a workshop. "House Blocks with Attitude"with Katharine Guerrier
Then we had a Jelly Roll quilt by Chris
|
Lovely colours, nice and bright for a little girl |
This was Chris's alternative design based on a pattern from
Monkey Buttons ."The House that Jack Built". Chris took out a few houses and added some lollipop trees. Cute!
And then we had Jackie's , also a Jelly Roll quilt.
|
This was a William Morris Jelly Roll |
|
This is called a 1600 JR quilt.
(a quick "how to" here) Really quick to do. Now comes the hard work, quilting! This will be hand quilted.
Not sure why we don't have any faces in this post. Maybe the girls are just shy?
Next week Carol is going to be showing us how to make a work bag (looks like a miniature holdall) that is ideal for carrying all your bits and bobs in.
Tune in soon!
You have some fun quilts turning up there. Its always heads down when working hard, hence no pics of people (well maybe)
ReplyDeleteMaybe there should be a group photo!!
