Some of the Wednesday girls got their Linus heads on this evening and worked like Trojans to piece some quilt tops
Beverley used some nautical fabrics
Seaside theme |
Ann used a novelty feature fabric
Polar bear medallion |
Carol had a finished quilted made up of scraps
from Carol's scraps |
Eileen added borders to an appliquéd top
Add caption |
Liz stitched the binding on her stripy quilt
simple but effective! |
Jackie cut a panel up and added strips to make this little lovely
And here is another of Jackie's quilts, not quite finished, but looking good.
Not for Linus, this already has been promised a home |
And Maggie was messing about with some of these
And when you add some of this ...
You will end with some blocks like this...
Meanwhile, Ena and Lesley were on a production line (NOT piecework mind - they would never make a living!)
one sewing strips and the other sniping and pairing |
1600 style |
These were the strips that were too short for the 2 1/2" x 16 1/2" strips that we used for the Scrappy Trip Around quilts.
Ena has never worked so hard! She just had enough strength to take a bow. (That girl does love the glory!!!)
Lots of finished and nearly finished quilts for a very good cause. We will contact Joan shortly to come and collect and distribute them all.
If you have a Linus quilt at home, please get it back to groups as soon as you can.
Another busy day /evening for Project Linus. Thank you to all those who have participated. I cant imagine how many finished quilts there will be!!!
ReplyDeleteA worthwhile charity - the least we can do. Looking forward to the final tally.
