After the Delay

Sorry Ladies, missed posting for a couple of weeks, but the Chancellor needed my end of year account (we are no longer in recession, you can thank me later!)

Right -

Helen Spence came to this evenings meeting to share her "6 Tricks with Triangles" demonstration.

Like a Lamb to the Slaughter!

It doesn't look like she's bothered though
Because they had all had the warning to behave!!
Picture of innocence!

We started with Somerset Folded Patchwork

A 3D flower

And then we had 3D Flying Geese ( sometimes called "one seam Flying Geese")

And continuous Prairie Points, which everyone was amazed at.

Helen also showed us another way to set blocks on point, or A Square in A Square, without cutting triangles!

Everyone had a chance to have a go at these methods, and minds are whirring with ideas.

A Good Evening,
Thank you Helen!

Here are some photos taken over the last couple of weeks

Dainty lady

At first glance, I thought this was a Dresden Plate, but its an arrangements of hearts.

Unusual
Ena has a project on the go, this looks like a lot of work Ena. And there is a pic of another couple of starts that Christine & Chris are working on. More of these to follow,
And last but not least

  2. Phew! You all had a lot to learn from Helen, and I would like a refresher on how to set a block on point.
