After a really great day out on a visit to the National Quilt
Championships at Malvern on Sunday, everyone arrived bright and early (
well some not so bright and some definitely not so early!!) to set up
for our Pincushion Party.
There were about 25 different patterns to choose from
|
A Pretty Pumpkin shape |
|
A Matryoshka Doll |
There was a very useful pincushion tidy that you could use near your sewing machine or on the arm of your chair
|
Handy tool |
And a positive plethora of mice
|
Aren't they cute? |
And a flock of owls
|
does two count as a flock? |
Then there was rather lot of this!!
|
Scrumptious Bring and Share lunch |
And the results of the day looked something like this!
|
lovely selection |
|
Those mice having their own feast! |
|
Tins and bags and pots |
|
Ascot would be proud of these |
|
Such a pretty china dish |
|
and a lovely embroidered cushion in a china soup bowl |
|
Not a bad turn out |
It's funny though, a little pincushion should have taken maybe a couple of hours, and most of these took ALL DAY!!!
Angie is working on a pretty pink quilt, and we will see more of this later.
Maybe these girls can't stand the pace, as we were packed up and home quite early! Too much shopping yesterday ladies!!
Next Monday (May 27th) is a Bank Holiday, so we will not meet on that day, but Wednesday meeting will be as normal.
Please read the notice board and note that
ALL LIBRARY BOOKS are to be returned to group after
TWO WEEKS . Thank you
Have a great weekend!
