Yes we celebrated not one, not two but three birthdays Sue, Janis and Diane, yeah! that means lots of cake......
Sue decided she need a PINK cake
Diane made banana loaf and Lavender shortbread, while Janis baked yummy fruit cakes |
What else could you do with that selection other than sit back and enjoy......
Yummy! |
Thanks to all three, and hope you had as good a day as we did.
OK ok lets get to work,
Some cute stocking to hang on the tree |
and some cute trees to (maybe) hang on the wall |
Some lovely canvas and crewel embroidery
Bargello in the making |
and 'tree of life' if I am not mistaken |
Of course we have the ladies busy making items for the Sales Table at our exhibition
Tea cup Mug rugs |
Peg bags (just look at that fabric) |
Now I know the sun had gone behind a cloud today, but these two seem to think it was cool enough to sit under quilts and hand sew......Phew! must have been hot
Perhaps Liz is letting off steam!! |
Diane has finished her quilt, and these photos really don't do justice to it. There is lots of hand embroidery, and beautiful quilting.
Beautiful |
and a pom pom for the bunnies tail |
Louise came to visit, to drum up some more custom for the Alexandra Palace Trip and to let us know of a proposed week-long trip to the Isle of Wight for a sewing retreat. The suggested dates for 2014 are February and April, so anyone interested make sure you let Louise know.
I'm going to enjoy following all that you get up to on a Monday afternoon. Sorry not to be there but up to my eyes in boxes as we move this week so a goodbye to everyone and thanks for all your friendship and inspiration. Happy sewing!
ReplyDeleteHope you still look into the blog Rosie, that way we all keep in touch. Good luck with your move x
