such a fabulous venue - on a good day! |
inspiration inside and out |

We had a swift visit from Mark Lees, from the The Sanctuary Project, thanking us for the donation of £1214.23 (half of the proceeds from the Exhibition). Not a penny is wasted at the project, and they are grateful if they get a £30 donation, so we definitely made someone's day!

There is quite a bit of embroidery based projects going on. And a rather nice cross- stitch of Northamptonshire started by. Mrs B, who has had the kit sometime, and will have it finished by Christmas, (one year, but not this one).
Fran and Colleen are still working on their needle turn appliqué blocks.
And Glennys and June are going a little bit crazy
We have Val working on another Advent Panel
And Muriel is working on another Foundation pieced project.
Pat is finishing off (last years) Christmas wall hanging . She had designed her own borders for this one.
Will be ready this year! |
And we have Carol preparing a decoupage piece, I wonder if this is for November 11th?
Toni is progressing well with her smocked gingham (I think this may be a child's coat hanger)
Annette is sewing tiny beads to her smocked piece ---- a glitzy dress or ?------ we shall see later
can you guess? |
Bernice has a felted Christmas tree project and has also made a Somerset folded card, for Halloween maybe?
always effective |
Barbara is also doing needle turn appliqué, this time a couple of love birds.
Chris is busy busy busy, deciding on yet another project :)))
wonder which magazine? |
And Jan has started an appliqué Teddy block.
Hazel is making one of those foldy purses, and has promised to show her neighbours how to do one
Janice is hand quilting a scrappy quilt that has some appliqué too.
And our Lynda ---------
Is it time she bought a new pair of glasses? If you could see the tiny stitches in this pretty sampler you will understand why she needs all the help she can get. I will show you a pic when she has a bit more to show.
Next week is our All Day project, and Wednesday Carol will be showing us how to make her very versatile "work bag"
Makes a great sewing bag, and I have made one for my knitting too. Just the right size for your needles .
Requirements
1/2m main fabric
1/2m lining
22" velcro
20" zip
10' x 23" stiff vilene or equivalent ( you can buy at group on the day approx £3 )
optional extra - 1 1/2 yds bias binding to match the main colour
(Check back later for a photo )
Glad you had a good day out ladies. Some really pretty thing going on. Looking forward to the work-bag day
