Lots of sewing today, with members using the time to continue with their own projects. Had a really nice lunch and a catch up with all.
Details of the Christmas wallhanging were given out and most of the design elements were volunteered for.
June will bring the pattern in for the first block next week and we will start the project on Monday 6th Feb, receiving a new pattern on the first Monday of the month.
We have decided that with as many Monday girls attending as there is, we will have to start a wait list for new Monday members. This is the first time in 10 years that we feel we have to restrict membership, but we have no more space!!
Any new members are welcome to join us on a Wednesday evening.
We have also decided that we are going to form a formal committee (shock horror) Nominations for election of officers are invited. Please see our notice board for positions.
Out of almost 50 members there today, no one thought to take any photos!! Come back Jo!

ReplyDeleteCommittee oh boy this could be fun. Shame about the waiting list, but 50 members does get a bit busy and luckily there is still the Wednesday group to join. Its nearly 3000 visitors to the blog.
I actually got some sewing done on Monday.(suffering now!) It was a hard decision to close the books but it is only fair for those already members. Any more people and it would be toooo much
ReplyDeleteThink I have worked out why there is a difference between our visitor numbers and our pageviews. I think if you return to the site, you are not counted again as a visitor (the little man in the stats box knows you have been here before), but you are added to the pageview. What do you think??????
ReplyDeleteStats man only counts new visitors (how does he know????) the page views goes up each time some one views the page. Very clever to be able to differentiate between the two. Must be some sort of boffin, is even there in the middle of the night! :)
