That's More Like It!

A fairly full house today, and not so much coughing and spluttering that we have had since Christmas so maybe the lurgy has left the area. It's about time!
Lots going on and lots of happy chat too, which is what our little (43 in attendance) group is all about.
And still we managed to get some work done!

Tony is using these scrummy colours to make a Hexagon quilt, I think this is for her little Grand-daughter
so pretty
Muriel is still working on her purple foundation pieced blocks and has another one completed.
for her Granddaughter too
Ellen is working on Christmas things - not sure is she is running late or getting a head start but this little elf is a cutie!  The Christmas tree is crocheted I think
look a the ears!

Maureen has a lace deadline. she is making a handkerchief for her Grandson's fiancée. They are to be married in the summer. The thread is so fine, but she is sure she has plenty of time well, time!
 Might video her next week

Jo had knitted a couple of woolly jumpers for these sheep. They were a Christmas gift.  You can read about them here
The big one is about 4" long
Lynda has obviously been having a sort out and is working on some EPP (English Paper Piecing)
shall I tell you how old that fabric is......

The Wellingborough "ladies" (tongue in cheek) are working on more postcards
a slant on patriotic
And three of them are embroidering red-work panels for a festive hanging. What is it about Christmas?  I don't want to think about it now until December  - November at the earliest
 but they are sweet pieces

Eileen was trying to hide this little project because she said it was boring. Her daughter had asked for a bag to put her bags in - you know the sort of thing. Well, if needs must Eileen is here to deliver.
Lesley was slip-stitching the lining into her Overnight bag. Its quite sturdy without being too heavy with wadding. You can read a bit ore about this here.

Mrs Beal is using some McKenna Ryan fabric to appliqué some hearts, this will be made into a cushion for the Cushion Raffle at our Exhibition in September. (again - SEPTEMBER! -  am I the only one that starts the week before the completion date? )
 More EPP from Pam
And Fran is busy stitching these tiny crosses. She has an order for 30 . They are sewn onto the plastic canvas
hey measure about 2" x 1" ready to pop in your pocket

Angie was trying to decide if to make this piece into a cushion or a pencil case.
I think pencil case do you?
Barbara is hand quilting - she is really good at this.

Next week we have our All Day session and will be making some lap quilts for people with dementia   We may need quite a few of these after chatting to some of our members........

We have some fabrics already, but if you bring along any bits and bobs (washable) that you think might work then please do so.

Don't forget to book your place on the coach for the Duxford show next month. We only have three places left (at the last count)
