End of a Busy Month

With a visit to the Autumn Quilt show held at Malvern. Not such a big exhibition as the Spring Show, which we have attended several times.
There were many purchases made ( several sewing machines appeared from the coach when we arrived back in Higham)

Here are a few of the pieces that were on display

Some Mini Quilts

So a good day out, now we have to decide on the venue for our trip next year

Annette (Mother of the Bride fame) has a birthday coming up and Alison had made a sewing trug for her.
Christmas projects are on the go, with a smocked cracker being finished
More Bells from our last All Day project
Muriel had made a Tree and Santa from the same days offerings
Glenys has begun a stitched piece that will become a cushion

And Ellen is on her production line making these embroidered pouches by the dozen

Kay has used Suffolk Puffs to make these little angels

In September, Jo  showed us how to make a Mini or Miniature quilt .
Carole added hers to the centre of a cushion and is now using the same design to make a slightly larger version and is using shirting fabric
Pauline has made progress on her Downton Abbey Quilt
Muriel was quilting a panel for a grandson. We both think the same about THIS design!!
Jan is making a name bunting for a friends new special place

Angie is making a wall hanging that will be given to the Royal British Legion
And Maria has finished the hand work on her "Hussuff" and will be making this into a knitting needle case.
Last week some of the ladies had seen this post  and have been busy with their needles to help out.
These will be made into a 10ft Christmas tree!  (Good Luck with that!)

The CraftClubYarnbombers make these pieces of art, secretly pop them on display in the area and then auction off for charity.

These are a couple of their Autumn pieces that I snapped when delivering the bunch of squares

Its a great idea, and lots of people are spreading the word by taking "Selfies" with the pieces and posting on social media!
