What a Lot of Noise!!

On our first day back after the Christmas shenanigans. It seems that there was a lots of catching up to do.

There are a couple of photos from before Christmas. Both of these quilts were given as gifts. Lucky recipients!!
Sue's Scrappy Garden
Lynda's Trip Around the World. Shame there was no one tall enough for this pic!!

Kathy joined us for the first time today, and I don't think we have scared her off yet. She brought in this Cross Stitch that has been waiting for ..... some time  to be finished.
Very Elegant
Sue has started another quilt, this time using these cute owls
The other Sue was still working on her hexagons
And Chris is making progress with Sun Bonnet Sue
Pauline has begun a little Cross Stitch project
Glenys is sewing a piece that combines Candlewick Embroidery and Mountmellick Embroidery.
She prefers the Candlewick style
Ena had made a rather nice smocked Christmas decoration, and a friend admired it - quite vocally - (you know how they do!)  so she is compelled to get another one done - just to keep the peace!

Ellen is getting a head start on next months Linus day, when we will be making incubator size quilts for the project
Carole, ........ well Carole was working her way up to deciding what her next project will be!
Sue was disposing of her old magazines
Tony was also working on a quilt that may go off to Linus
sweet vintage prints
Linda has been waving her crochet hook around and has produced this warm fingerless mitt. Best get on with the other one then Linda!
Pam has continue with her hexagons whilst to-ing and fro-ing between appointments.
always a handy portable project
Brenda enjoyed making her Teddy quilt so much that she is making more for Linus!
Great way to use scraps
And Mrs Beal is using a pattern that we have done at group many times, to make her grandson a Monochrome quilt. She is joining all the left overs for the borders, and is hoping that said Grandson will allow a pop of colour before the border is added. We shall see. You know what these boys are like!
12" squares cut twice and fabrics re arranged - simple!

Just a little reminder....

That the 2016 Programme is now printed and is also on our Diary Page. (we do need a couple of volunteers to take up a project day )

Jo has written some instructions on constructing your finished clock. Details on the notice board and on the Tutorials page

We have cleared off our old Waiting List for Monday Members (spaces available on Wednesdays) so unless you have already spoken to the Committee  regarding new Monday Members, then we are now operating a Wait List for Mondays.  Please give names and contact details of interested ladies to a committee member. We will look at numbers again in a few months.
