Flaming June!

It's been a while, but lots going on at group

Jan has finished another cute Applique baby quilt

Kathy is still joining her stock of EPP's
Liz added some little flowers to one of the blocks from the Be Attitudes book
Val is working on her Pear Shaped project
We are having a box makig day next month so Kay felt she must finish the box she started ...... many years ago
Brenda is making progress on another Project Linus quilt
Janis had layered her Hexagon quilt top and was deciding how to quilt it
Mrs Beal's apprentice Pauline was patiently unpicking some machine embroidery for Pat  - what a star!
nearly there
Therese is still hooking away on her waistcoat, she was hoping to finish so she could wear this home.  After all, it is only 30deg !!!  💦💦💦
Lynda was making up a smocked romper suit
very pretty
And Fran was candlewicking another panel for her Grand daughters quilt.
Fran was actually taking it easy after hosting a Quilt Exhibition at her local church at the weekend.

Did you get over and see it? A Wonderful display of quilts and flowers - Well done Fran and Jane and their helpers

Lynda took a workshop yesterday, showing us how to use Transfer Crayons to make a sweet little card.

We used the crayons on a  a paper doily
Ironed it onto our fabric and began stitching
 A bit of embellishment
And popped into a card apperture
voilà!

Annette made two cards

June couldn't decide how many sparkles to use

We will see that next week!

Wednesday evening sees Beverly showing us how to make her selection of fabric birds.

These would make a lovely baby mobile

Next Wednesday Lynda will be repeating the card class so if you missed it come along and try this simple technique

  1. Loved the cards we were making yesterday, don't think I need that many sparkly bits though.
Really enjoyed the quilt exhibition at Broughton. Plus it was the coolest place on Saturday.
