Monday Monday!! and a "Scrap" from Wednesday!

Christmas quilts were still being worked on this week, and the next instalment was posted on the notice board.   Seminole and hearts for the next round, look forward to seeing those.

Maybe some stars going with these snowflakes

More snowflakes

and of course houses

The other quilt along is the appliqué flower quilt.

That basket looks great.

Lots of work going on here, quilting, bag making, and I am sure some of the Christmas crew at the end on the table.

I wish I knew what these two were discussing!!

Now what has 'she' been up to ?????..........
its supposed to be a peg bag, but there were other suggestions, one being ..... bag for lacy lingerie! (some said that their "big girl drawers" would not fit it there...tut tut).

And last but not least, these two quilts......

This one was made with a charm pack on Sunday morning!!!!!......yes, Sunday morning!!!!!.... bit slow in my book
Cute baby quilt
This one was made with scraps from a 'square within a square' quilt.  I did ask what happened to the scraps that were cut off at the corners of these blocks and was told in no uncertain terms 'in the bin'------
Such a beautiful quit and made with scraps.
Lets get a close up of the quilting.....

Simple but precise
Penny Mackenzie will be here for our next 'all day', and the requirement for her workshop have been posted on the Notice Board.

And here's a note from the Wednesday crew -

Jackie wanted to get rid of some of her scraps, so cut them up into 5" length strips of varying widths, added a 1 1/2" plain white piece to each and joined them all together!

What she now wants to know, is --- WHY is the scrap box STILL full of scraps!!!  Its a beauty though, isn't it?

Next Wednesday we have Abi Jackson - Artist and Textile designer is coming to talk about her work. She has come highly recommended so it would be good to see as many members there as possible.

  1. Ena really should keep her smalls to herself!! I just love the simplicity of Jackie's scrap quilt. I must have enough "scraps" to make a quilt for everyone I know. Just need a bit of time now then! Don't hold your breath girls :))
